Why was the foundation created?
The Ericka Solis Foundation was created and dedicated to the memory of Ericka Solis.
Our mission is to share our sister’s story and raise awareness with facts about leukemia.
Who benefits from the funds raised?
All proceeds are donated to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which is now Blood Cancer United.
Volume IV of the magazine will not require an entry fee. However, charitable contributions are welcome via CashApp ($erickasfoundation).
How can I donate?

Who contributed to this project?
People from all over the United States donated their pictures for the project. They signed a release form allowing us to publish their work.

How have previous funds been raised?
Constellations magazine was sold at a release party, “Rock Against Leukemia”, which featured ten bands who played during a two day event. Other events include, “Pachanga Musical Contra la Leucemia” which featured a performance by La Magiztral Sonora and two comedy nights at the El Paso Comic Strip. Dine Out Night at Golden Corral, Wednesday October 18th, 2023.
What events has the foundation hosted?
We hosted “Rock Against Leukemia” a two day event. The Ericka Solis Foundation attended Light the Night in Albuquerque, New Mexico where we hosted a memorial tent for Ericka Solis in 2010. We also hosted “Pachanga Musical Contra la Leucemia” in 2011 at Muggs Bar & Grill. We have also participated in health fairs at the El Paso Community College (EPCC) and Spooktacular at the El Paso Coliseum, among other health related events at El Paso area businesses. In 2017 we also attended a Light the Night event in Tucson, Arizona. The Ericka Solis Foundation had the opportunity to talk about our loss with those who attended the 2024 Light the Night Event in Tucson, Arizona.

Which associations are we affiliated with?
Since there is no El Paso, Texas chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which is now Blood Cancer United, in 2010 we partnered with the Albuquerque, New Mexico branch. Currently we are partnered with the Tucson, Arizona Branch to volunteer our time and assist with events.
